Shows new and old

Our newest show Roxby Local has got off to a great start. Milly started the year with Sandy Sumsion discussing the active role Raine & Horne take in the Roxby community, which includes the Roxby Races, pageant, RFDS and Rotary, as well being a long-time supporter of RoxFM. Roxby Local was also pleased to present a bushfire special event with CFS Captain Anthony Alcock where they discussed the risk of bushfire in the Roxby Community. This was a special show to promote the CFS Bushfire Awareness meeting and to answer questions raised by locals via Facebook.

The show then settled into a new regular timeslot of Tuesday 7am to 8 to better suit scheduling, with recent guests including Ines Badman discussing activities at Arid Recovery including promoting an upcoming quiz night, Vicki Mason talking about what we can expect when we visit the Club and the importance of becoming a member of the Club. Sgt Samuel Jolly from Roxby Police who is going to be a regular guest with a focus topic each month, Januarys topic was vehicle roadworthiness where they discussed what defects we all should be looking out for and where we can find out more information. February’s topic will be about Drink & Drug Driving where we can expect to hear some facts and figures and discuss options if we are unsure whether we should be driving.

It is a fantastic start to the year for Milly and she can’t wait to bring you more guests during 2020 so listen in Tuesdays 7am till 8.
