It’s begining to look a lot like Christmas.

The Christmas songs have been loaded into the system and will be playing throughout the festive season.
Christmas 2020 may look a little different to other years for so many but hopefully it will be a time to reflect on what is important to you. Whether it is spending time with the people you love, or taking time out for yourself, going for a walk with your dog or curling up on the couch with a good book, remember to be thankful for everything you have.

Take time to think of others, check in on people who maybe are not as fortunate as us in South Australia. Remember those who have lost loved ones or who are unable to get across borders to see others. This year the gift of time may be one the of the most important gifts you can give and one of the best gifts to receive.

Think outside the box, as we have through out the year. The connection we felt standing together on our driveways for ANZAC day, birthdays and anniversaries spent together via Zoom which have meant during this difficult year we have not been alone. We, in Roxby Downs and Andamooka, have much to be grateful for, with strong communities we have come through the year together and we will build on this strength into the new year, what ever it may bring.

For the RoxFM team we will continue to bring great radio to the local and wider community. Many of the presenters will be taking a break during the Christmas period but we will be back in 2021 with local voices presenting shows full of great music, interesting chat and regional news. We hope you will keep your radios tuned in over the break for lots of great music new and old. And if you would like to join us in 2021 as a volunteer then contact us via our email, we would love to welcome you to our team.

So, from the team at RoxFM, we wish you all a safe and happy Christmas and we will see you in the new year.
